Prior to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic Sunday Morning Services were -
10.15am - 11.15am
A lively and welcoming service for people of all ages. We use audio visual equipment displaying words of traditional and modern worship songs, bible readings, message for the day and prayers. We welcome you wherever you are on your journey of faith. During the church services an offertory plate is passed around for voluntary donations towards church work. Once a month we share Holy Communion as part of the service.
Free tea and coffee is served after the service.
An induction loop system for the hard of hearing is installed in the church. We have people qualified to provide signing for the deaf if required.
Sunday Club
Our children and teenagers join with the congregation for the start of the service before having their own group sessions. We use 'Roots' as our teaching material, and usually start with a gathering activity, look at the bible reading in a creative way, and do craft work and play games that relate to the lesson notes for that day. We have 3 groups, 3-7 years, 7-11, 11+. We occasionally stay in church for All Age Worship, sometimes leading that service ourselves. All leaders are fully compliant with the Methodist Church's Safeguarding Policy and each worker is DBS checked and receives regular training.
Sunday Evening Services
6pm - 7pm usually on the last Sunday of the Month - see Preachers page.
A quieter, more contemplative service lasting about an hour, suitable for adults and older children, with Hymns or praise and worship, Bible readings and Sermon, and Prayers. A warm welcome awaits you!
Monthly Prayer Meeting
First Sunday each month at 8.30am in the church lounge. A small group of us get together for about a half an hour for general prayer. This is followed by tea & toast.
If you would like the Church to pray for you at any time you can either contact Minister Tel: 0116 287 0356, make a prayer request or fill in a prayer card in the foyer.
